| To ensure that metal fittings stay attached to your polymer beads you have to learn the correct process. The best ways to ensure that it will bond properly you need to make sure the pieces fit each other. |
Here are the best tips around:
- Use E6000 cement or gel cyanoacrylate adhesive and place a small coating on the metal fitting.
Before firing –
- Press the metal fitting into the back of the polymer clay piece
After firing –
- The two pieces will fit together properly
If you want a stronger bond, you can:
- Roughen the metal fitting and the back of the clay with coarse sandpaper still use the E6000 cement or gel cyanoacrylate adhesive.
